Our workshops support Brazilian families in Aotearoa New Zealand through practical knowledge, cultural understanding, and shared experiences. Throughout the year, we offer a range of sessions designed to empower migrants, strengthen bilingual families, and respond to emerging community needs.

Migrant Workshops

A series of workshops delivered across the year, designed to support Brazilian migrants as they navigate life in New Zealand.
Focus areas may include:

  • Understanding local systems and services
  • Employment and workplace culture
  • Housing, rights, and responsibilities
  • Wellbeing and community support
  • Practical tools for settling and thriving

Bilingual Family Workshops

A series of 10 workshops dedicated to supporting families raising bilingual children in Aotearoa.
Topics may include:

  • Strategies for maintaining Portuguese at home
  • Understanding bilingual development
  • Supporting literacy in two languages
  • Cultural identity and belonging
  • Practical tips for everyday bilingual routines

 

Cultural Workshops

Throughout the year, we offer one‑off and seasonal workshops that celebrate Brazilian culture and community creativity. These sessions respond to the interests and needs of our whānau, and may include:

  • Cultural celebrations and traditions
  • Creative arts and storytelling
  • Music, dance, and movement
  • Community skill‑sharing and intergenerational learning
