Brazilian Senior Club - Clube dos Avós
Senior Club is coming to Casa Brasil!
A welcoming programme for Brazilian seniors living in or visiting New Zealand — a place to connect, learn, and feel at home. Here, seniors make friends, enjoy cultural activities, move gently, and nurture their wellbeing.
Programme Purpose
- Strengthen social connection and reduce isolation
- Celebrate Brazilian identity while embracing New Zealand culture
- Support seniors who don’t speak English to feel confident and included
- Promote wellbeing through gentle movement and nature
- Build understanding of the place where their children and grandchildren live
- Create intergenerational bridges through shared cultural knowledge

- Investment per month: $50.00
- All participants must be members of Brasileirinhos Aotearoa. Join our community.
- Annual Senior Membership: $30.00
What We Offer

Brazil - NZ Cultural Connection
Activities that celebrate Brazilian culture while introducing key aspects of Kiwi life — values, customs, symbols, stories, and everyday expressions.
Wellbeing & Nature‑Based Movement
Gentle walks, stretching, and outdoor activities at Tūī Glen Reserve, inspired by New Zealand’s nature‑connected lifestyle.
Creativity, Learning & English for Life
Arts, cooking, practical workshops, and simple English learning — including Kiwi expressions and real‑life situations (supermarket, transport, cafés).
How It Works
- Weekly session at Casa Brasil and Tūī Glen Reserve
- Each session includes:
- Welcome circle
- Main activity (Brazil + NZ cultural blend)
- Light morning tea
- Conversation practice (Portuguese + simple English + Māori greetings)
- Closing reflection
